What is Thermage FLX & CPT?
Chiaki Kawashima, MD
Thermage is a medical therapeutic device that uses Radio Frequency (RF) to improve sagging skin and wrinkles. It was recently developed in the US – an emerging hub for the latest innovations in Cosmetic Science – and approved by the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA), which corresponds to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan. Currently, Thermage is used in more than 80 countries and 2,300 medical institutions. In Japan, 60,000 people have recovered their youthfulness through this treatment. In the past, the most common procedure to improve sagging skin and wrinkles has always been through invasive surgical procedures. However, the revolutionary ThermaCool™ has made anti-aging procedures non-invasive and safe with better results.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Reader,
On behalf of Azabu Skin Clinic, thank you for your time and interest in visiting our website.
The first step in addressing skin concerns is to understand their underlying causes. Selecting treatments that are appropriate for each patient's condition and individual needs is an important part of achieving healthier-looking skin. Like many women, I have experienced skin concerns myself. Drawing on both my professional knowledge and personal experience, I hope to help each patient bring out the natural beauty of their skin.
After graduating from Tokyo Medical University, I began my career in dermatology and had the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors in the field. Working in dermatology clinics in the Tokyo metropolitan and Kansai areas allowed me to care for many patients with a wide range of skin concerns. Seeing patients regain confidence as their concerns were addressed was deeply rewarding and inspired me to establish a clinic that could serve not only Japanese patients but also international residents and visitors who may find it difficult to receive dermatological care in English.
Aside from participating in domestic conferences, I also actively participate in overseas conferences such as those held by the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). Attending and participating in these conferences enables me to continuously integrate the latest techniques and modern treatments into my practice.
Having a clinic located in the metropolis of Tokyo allows me to see and interact with patients from all over the world. The time that I spend with my patients, most of whom are foreigners, enables me to examine and be immersed in the different kinds of skin types and the problems that they are facing.
If you are currently experiencing any dermatological problem, it is my sincere wish to help you. Let me help you bring back your self-confidence by restoring your inner wellness and outer beauty. The process might be short or it might be long but I assure you that I will be with you every step of the way.
Together, let us make you better at Azabu Skin Clinic.
Sincerely yours,

Dr. Chiaki Kawashima
